I received my formal training at the American Academy of Art in Chicago and had a career as a graphic designer and art director. Now, I dedicate my creative endeavors to painting and am an award winning artist of many juried and selective art shows in the Midwest area.
My work can best be described as having impressionist tendencies that incorporate rhythm and vibrancy. Each painting takes it’s own imaginative pilgrimage. I work primarily in oil media - Oil Pastel, Oil, Oil Stick and Monotypes. I enjoy the diversity of each. In my explorations of creating visual images, inspiration comes from people and nature and everything around me. The rhythms and variations of nature are ever-changing and ever-moving. The shadow, light, temperature, structure, view point and my own frame of mind at any moment make images ever-evolving.
I belong to the Naperville, Wayne & DuPage Art Leagues, and the Yellow House Artists.
