My work can best be described having impressionist tendencies that incorporate rhythm and vibrancy. Each painting’s takes it’s own imaginative pilgrimage. I love color and motion! I work primarily in oil media - Oil Pastel, Oil, and Oil Monotypes and enjoy the diversity of each in my explorations of creating visual images. Inspiration comes from nature, people and everything around me. The shadow, light, temperature, structure, view point and my own frame of mind at any moment make images ever-evolving. Compositions that work within themselves with spontaneity make my heart sing!.
I received my formal training at the American Academy of Art in Chicago and have attended various colleges and workshops in the Chicagoland area including the Art Institute and studied print making at Triton College. After spending many years as a graphic designer and art director, I now dedicate my creative endeavours to painting. I am an award winning artist of many juried and selective art shows in the Chicagoland area. Memberships: |
